Get to Work, Inc. d/b/a Plain Sight ("Plain Sight" or “we”, “us”, or "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Statement, together with all related/linked information, documents, and the Terms of Use, addresses how we handle the personal information collected and shared with us through use of the Plain Sight application (the "Application") or when you visit our website https://www.plainsight.app/ (the "Site") (together, the “Services”). Please read this Privacy Statement carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to download or install the Application or use our Services. By using our Services, you agree to this Privacy Statement. This Privacy Statement may change from time to time (see Changes to our Privacy Statement). Your continued use of our Services after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Privacy Statement periodically for updates.

Scope

This Privacy Statement only addresses the personal information we obtain from and regarding individuals interacting with our Services.

Information Collected

Information You Provide to Us. During your use of our Services, Plain Sight collects information about you. This information is collected directly from you when you provide it to us or automatically as you use our Services. This information includes, but is not limited to:

  • contact information (e.g., name and email address).

  • your device data and how you interact with our Services (e.g., IP address, browser type, and unique device identifier).

  • details of any transactions you carry out through our Services.

  • information that you provide through registering and subscribing to our Services and its services platform.

  • information concerning your precise or approximate location as determined through data such as your IP address or mobile device’s GPS. Many mobile devices allow you to control or disable the use of location services for applications through the device’s settings. Plain Sight collects this information even when you are not using our Services if enabled through your settings or mobile device permissions.

  • Any other information you provide in connection with your use of our Services and its platform.

Information from Other Sources. We receive information about you if you use any other websites affiliated with Plain Sight or from the information you post on or submit through our Services. Plain Sight also receives your information from third-party marketing companies that we use to provide you with information concerning our products, service offerings, and other information. Data we receive from other sources may be combined with the information you provide us and may be used or shared for the following purposes stated below.

You may provide information such as biographical details for display through our Services that may be viewed by other users of our Services or you may also choose to communicate directly with other users of our Services (collectively "User Contributions"). Your User Contributions are posted and transmitted to others solely at your own risk. We cannot control the actions of third parties with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.

Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies.

As you navigate through and interact with our Services, we use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

  • Information Automatically Collected via our Services. When you use our Services, we automatically collect certain technical information from your device, such as the internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your device to the internet, time zone setting, operating system and platform, and other data about your use of our Services.

  • Information Collected Using Cookies. Our Services use "cookies" and other tracking technologies to gather information about your interactions.     Pages you encounter throughout your use of our Services may also contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that allow us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or for other related app statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain app content and verifying system and server integrity). We use this information to provide a better user experience and to tailor our marketing communications.

    When you use our Services, certain third parties may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about you or your mobile device. These third parties may include:

We use collected information to facilitate your use of our Services and its associated platform services, and any other information, products, or services that you request from us. We may also contact you to ask for your feedback about a product, service, or event.

  • To Send You Promotional Materials. We use your information to fulfill your requests, including, but not limited to, requests to receive promotional materials. Promotional materials may include newsletters or other information regarding Plain Sight contests, events, and/or products. We use this information to personalize your experience with our Services or with the company and/or to improve the security, design, and/or function of our Services. We also use your information to support and develop our products and service offerings.

  • To Fulfill or Meet the Reason you Provided the Information. We use your information to enable you to communicate with other Services users or to facilitate the use of our Services and its platform for you and our partners.

  • To Provide Customer Support. We use your information to provide you with support and to respond to your inquiries, including to investigate and address your concerns and monitor and improve our responses.

Apart from the purposes listed above, Plain Sight will not share your personal information with other third parties for their independent use without your permission. We may share de-identified information in accordance with applicable law without restriction with third parties for advertising, promotional, or other marketing purposes.

We will use reasonable administrative, technical and physical security to protect the personal information we retain and to help ensure that it is used in accordance with this Privacy Statement. We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Statement unless longer retention is required by law or for auditing purposes.

Our Services contain links to other websites. Plain Sight assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites. You expressly relieve Plain Sight from any and all liability arising from your use of any third-party website, or from the content of any third-party website.

Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect any personal information directly from children under 16. If you believe that we might have information from or about a child under 16, we take this very seriously and request that you contact us at hello@plainsighthq.com.

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request information from Plain Sight regarding how it shares certain categories of your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. California law provides that you have the right to submit a request to Plain Sight at its designated address and receive the following information:

  • The categories of information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year; and

  • The names and addresses of third parties that received such information, or if the nature of their business cannot be determined from the name, then examples of the products or services marketed.

Accessing and Correcting your Personal Information

You can review and request changes to your personal information by contacting us at hello@plainsighthq.com. We cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change personal information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

EUROPEAN DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) provides European Economic Area ("EEA") individuals with additional rights regarding our use of your personal data as defined under the GDPR. The following sections provide additional information regarding Plain Sight’s use of EEA individuals’ personal data and EEA individuals’ rights under the GDPR.

Legal Basis and Purposes for Data Processing

We only process your personal data when we have a legal basis for doing so. Specifically, we will only process your personal data as follows:

  • Where our use of your personal data is necessary to perform a contract or contracts that you are a party to or to take steps that you request before entering a contract.

We make automated decisions about who we recommend that you connect with on Plain Sight based on the profile similarities between individuals. We also make automated decisions about push notifications and emails that we think would be of interest to you.

Personal Information Requirements

You are not required to provide any personal data to Plain Sight. If you use our Services or products, you are required to provide certain personal data to enable us to perform our obligations. During any required registration for our services or products, you will be provided with information regarding which data elements are required.

Your Rights

You have choices regarding how we use your personal data. You are entitled to the following:

  • The right to access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data. We may charge you a minor fee for this service.

  • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information that you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request that we complete information that you believe is incomplete.

In addition, when Plain Sight provides products or services or acts as a data processor, we receive your personal data from third parties as needed to provide the products or services. If Plain Sight is processing your personal data as a data processor, we will refer you to our client for assistance with these requests. We support our clients with responding to requests required by law.

Cross-Border Data Transfers

Because the European Union Commission has determined that certain countries' data privacy laws, including the United States, do not ensure an adequate level of protection for personal data collected from EU data subjects, any such transfers by Plain Sight to or within these countries will generally be subject to appropriate additional safeguards under standard data protection clauses adopted by the EU Commission or adopted by a supervisory authority and approved by the EU Commission. Data Retention

Your personal data will be retained for as long as the information is needed for the purposes set forth above and for any additional period that may be required or permitted by law. The retention period depends on the purpose(s) for which the data was collected, how it is used, and applicable law. If we do not have a legal basis for retaining your information, we will delete it as required by applicable law.

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our Privacy Statement on this page with a notice that the Privacy Statement has been updated on our website home page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will notify you through a notice on the website home page. The date the Privacy Statement was last revised is identified at the top of the page. If you are a resident of the EEA, we will seek your consent to any such material changes to our Privacy Statement pertaining to our Services.
